What's the fix for Advanced Paddle Module Axis at 50% on Xbox Universal Hub?

I got a shifter set this week, and put it on my Xbox hub I got early in 2019. The left one is registered at about 50% pulled as soon as I plug it in. Same thing happens if I plug the right shifter into the port. The right side is fine. I emailed support yesterday, but didn't hear back.

I saw a post on Reddit that said the fix is a hardware fix. Do you have to send in the Hub or will they just mail you out a new circuit board?

I'd hate to have to mail it back when it looks like replacing the board seems trivial.
