Clubsport Shifter Misshifting, [I've already tried electric tape and checked magnet and others]

Look, I know there are a million forum posts about the shifter misshifting, but I've tried as many solutions as I've been able to find and none have fixed anything. My 3rd gear sometimes shows as 7th, my 5th always shows as 7 or 3, my 4th gear also shows as 6th. So it looks like the 2nd hall effect isn't working right. So far I have:
-Applied electrical tape to the back of the hall effect
-Reflashed, and also updated the firmware to the latest
-Checked the magnet
-Blow both boards out with air
-Jiggled the connectors
-Tried the other shifter port on my wheel
-Tried a different ribbon cable
I bought this shifter used and it was shipped to me, and I was shown it worked fine on the other person's rig, so what's up? What do I do?

I was the previous owner. I had it hooked up to a CSL elite PlayStation wheel and worked without issue. Hopefully we can find a solution for Tom.
You did calibrate the shifter correctly?
Calibrate the shifter properly.
Ask Fanatec for a new PCB-board.
I think I've calibrated the shifter over 50 times on the wheel and in the drivers over the past day.
Might be the PCB-board then. Ask Fanatec for a spare. Might want to contract Ben as well for costs, but its tricky cause whose at fault?
The problem may be easily solved by placing some double-sided tape between the plate (the one with a double connection) and the metal part. I was failing and I didn't recognize gears 1, 3 and 5 and I'd get my reverse engaged until I separated the plate using double-sided tape. From then on it works perfectly. I hope it helps. I had the same problem with miss shifts after about three years of service . tried the tape , it worked for a while but never constantly . I ordered a new top shifter unit $59.50 plus shipping , works like anew one now , email Fanatec support and ask them to set up a quote . The new unit will have both pc boards .
Quick update , after a few races the shifter would register the wrong gear again , 3rd would register as 1st occasionally . I removed the shifter from the V2.5 wheel base and connected via USB adapter and have had no issue since then .
