Upgraded to beta 440 on DD Pro and been playing for hours with no crashes. Looks like the beta driver fixed it.
Great news, do you know when the final version comes out? or how do I install the beta version. Thank you
440 is a final version and not a beta version.
In fact it's the release driver for the BMW M4 GT3 wheel and is therefore only available to download on the BMW site yet and here in the forum.
Thanks Maurice, you're right but I have a doubt is that the 440 drive exists as you say "BMW M4 GT3 wheel" but it's also on the beta version website and now I don't know which one to install, Thanks
There is only one 440 driver. No beta. Just final.
Just install 440 no matter where you find it.
Ok thank you very much, I will install 👍
Unfortunately, after 11 races without problems, the disconnection of the DD Pro base with the computer came back 😥. I was convinced that the 440 drives had solved the problem ..... since April 8th Fanatec still doesn't say anything ..... no comments
When the Base disconnects from the PC then thats a different issue though, which might be hardware related.
Prior to Driver 440 the GAME crashed back to the Desktop in certain situations, which driver 440 seems to have fixed but this is unrelated to any kind of Base Crash issues.
Thank you Maurice Boschen 👍
I can confirm the crashes are fixed with my GT DD Pro as well using the 440 driver.
I can also confirm that Driver 440 on the DD1 didn't crash the game. I could never pass the Vocho challenge and it would always stop working as soon as you get to the barn.
I found out about Beta V440 today. I installed it and haven't looked back. It seems to have resolved all of the crashing issues in FH5 once and for all.
Also if you haven't upgraded PSU's from 5nm to 8nm I would suggest doing that as well. It makes a significant difference and I couldn't be happier.
Thank you Fanatec. You've come through with a fantastic hardware setup for racing sim novices like myself, you have delivered on your promises and you've restored my faith in your commitment to customer satisfaction.
I'm not affiliated or associated with Fanatec in anyway, I'm just a satisfied end user.
That's great to hear Carl.
