Did I install the stronger throttle spring correctly?

seems I'm having the same issue, I put the black cap inside of the block instead of on the end of the rod, and the other black cap still on the spring near the pedal, i tried cap on each side of the spring and still flexes like in the video, is this normal will it damage my pedals ?
