You have to contact the seller to know, when he purchased the items. The date he got the base and wheel the warranty starts.
Read the fine print in the Fanatec warranty.
It's not covered (ask me how I know) Warranty is for original purchaser only and can't be transferred. And it's only good from date of original invoice. Good Luck if you have a problem!
It doesn't matter when you received the product. If purchased directly from Fanatec the warranty starts the minute the invoice is made. So while you're waiting for handling, shipping, etc. You are burning up warranty time for something you don't have yet !
This is incorrect information. The warranty is fully transferable if the new buyer has the original invoice because the warranty is bound to the product, not to the person who bought it.
I just read the warranty information. maybe I am mistaken. I will check it again.
Well I don't think I am incorrect with this information since It does indeed say that it is not transferable. See the fourth sentence from this link. https://fanatec.com/us-en/fanatec-consumer-guarantee
The manufacturer (Endor AG) grants consumers from countries of the European Union, Switzerland and Norway a two-year warranty on all Fanatec products within the meaning of Art. 2 (e) of the European Directive 2000/31/EC.
Services under this guarantee can only be used by consumers as mentioned above in accordance with the following conditions.
For some products, a different warranty period and a different consumer group may apply if this is explicitly specified in the respective product description.
The guarantee is bound to the person of the first buyer (hereinafter: warrantee) and is not transferable.
The manufacturer's warranty covers the territory of the country in which the product was first purchased.
The period for calculating the warranty period begins on the date of the invoice.
If material or manufacturing defects occur during this period, the manufacturer, as guarantor under the warranty, will provide one of the following services at his discretion:
In the event of a warranty claim, please contact the guarantor via "www.fanatec.com Support"
The guarantor is
Endor AG
Selgenthaler Straße 16 a

Warranty claims are excluded in the event of damage to the goods in case of
Warranty claims are also excluded if the purchased product has been modified in any way after delivery. This exclusion for changes also applies if a warranty claim would generally exist according to the above conditions.
The warranty service can only be claimed if the guarantor is enabled to check the warranty case which shows that the goods, including the RMA number (assigned by the Fanatec Support Department) have to be returned. Care must be taken to avoid damage during transport by appropriate packaging.
If the product is not already registered in the Fanatec customer account of the policyholder, a copy of the original invoice (to be uploaded as unchanged PDF file in the support area "Register product") must be provided for the warranty claim. If the product type concerned has a serial number ("SN"), this must be indicated as well.
If the warranty claim is justified, the warranty will be settled carriage free for the warrantee within the territory of the country in which the product was first purchased. In this case, the guarantor will reimburse any national shipping costs that may have been disbursed.
If, on the other hand, international dispatch (shipment and return shipment) is required for the handling of the guarantee, any additional costs incurred shall be borne by the policyholder irrespective of any recognition of a guarantee obligation.
Note: Your legal rights against us arising from the sales contract concluded with us are in no way limited by this guarantee promise. In particular, any existing statutory warranty rights vis-à-vis us remain unaffected by this guarantee promise. If the purchased item is defective, you can therefore always assert claims against us within the scope of the statutory warranty, irrespective of whether a warranty case exists, or the warranty is claimed.
In the EU consumer rights are quite strong, and the warranty is clearly with the product, not with the first owner. I'm quite surprised that also the EU site has this first owner statement, which is against the EU consumer protection laws.
You probably mix warranty and guarantee
Well, what would be the difference in this case?
And I read this in the above information from the Fanatec website
"The guarantee is bound to the person of the first buyer (hereinafter: warrantee) and is not transferable."
It's very clear to me
