How does CSL base/wheel work with a game that's not on the supported list?

in Wheel Bases (and Racing Wheels)

Does it use some kind of generic ffb for any game that's not on the supported list? Or does it only work without ffb when a game is not supported (like Richard Burns Rally or Grand Prix Legend)?
