PC: Handbrake not working: CS Handbrake V1.5 + CS Pedals V3 (no wheel base)

I'm on a PC and have CS Pedals V3 + CS Handbrake V1.5.
I connect the handbrake to the pedals via RJ12 and then connect the pedals to PC via USB, but the fanatec driver app in windows does not recognise the handbrake.
Is it possible to connect this way? The manual for the handbrake mentions that you can connect the handbrake to pedals V2 (says nothing about V3). There is no connector on the circuit board for the pedals as described in the handbrake manual so the only option is to connect via RJ12.
Should this work or am I forced to buy the USB-adapter to use with the handbrake? (alternative is to buy also a wheel base of course)

I can see that your issue is being handled by the support team.
(For the benefit of others who may read this thread, yes, the handbrake can connect directly to the ClubSport Pedals V3, the USB Adapter is not required).

what if i got a usb adapter for it and connect it to the computer but it just says waiting for input? I have no other fanatec components other than the Fanatec CS Handbrake v1.5
