Default Hex file loading failed

I have tried updating my windows system, taking off the steering wheel and plug in different usb port. Also tried reinstalling the drive. Tried three different drives, 381, 346 and 328. Now my wheel base can only flash blue lights.

Do you mean that loading the hex file failed while starting the firmware updater, or that the firmware update itself on the wheel failed?
Loading the hex file failed while starting the firmware updater. Now when I plug in my wheel, my firmware update will pop up and give me two options, one is to start the update and the other one is restart the wheel. After choosing starting the update. It will say cannot load hex file in the bottom box.
Yea mine actually looks the same. Now this wheels base is still in bootload mode.
Please check following link, I had a same problem and succeed to update the firmware through different windows PC.

yea but I was able to flash driver 289. It is kind of wierd that I need to switch to a different device to flash the latest firmware.
No need to switch pc. Just make sure that there is only ONE driver installed in your computer.
Before downloading the latest make sure to delete the drivers from your PC.
Reboot.
Download and install new driver.
Reboot.
Update driver in your device.
Maybe the fault you were getting was because the "updater" was confused and didnt know which HEX to choose for the latest driver.
I had the same issue and tried every fix including this one. Only worked after installing on a fresh windows partition which is juts like a different PC. Not sure why but it worked.
Yea, flashed 289 without rebooting since it did not give a notification to restart the PC after install. It is so wierd. However, I'm still waiting for support from fanatec so I could use newer firmware. My current firmware makes the wheel so unrealistic, it always has a force to back to center no matter the drift is 0 or negative.
