Fanatec Compatibility with games on console
I just had a question about ACC on Console when it is released is the Fanatec Podium Racing Wheel F1 going to be supported. The developers of the games say that the companies who make the peripherals have to sign off on it or something and I'm just trying to make sure before I pre-order the game, as there have been quite a few games released without compatibility to some peripherals and then we are left waiting.
Also I know it is not a racing game let alone a sim but will Snowrunner for ps4 be supported with the Fanatec Podium Racing Wheel F1?

Snowrunner wheel support is planned for many manufacturers but delayed due to Covid. They should be releasing an update soon to support wheels, including Podium series.
I would say with the amount of support ACC has for Fanatec gear they will surely be supported on console.
I'm hoping Fanatec at least allows it so the Direct Drives can be used in Comp PS4 mode on Snow runner. It's just nice to take a break from podium chasing and relax a little bit in a game like Snowrunner. PC players have ATS, ETS and all the other driving games like that. I just want Truck Driver and Snowrunner as change of pace games I can still play with my wheel. I've talked with some of the people from Truck Driver and i'm not sure they've even talked to Fanatec but Snowrunner has already said they expect the Podium F1 to be supported so there's that.
Wheel support is in the developers hands, not something Fanatec decides. Fanatec Wheels are on Snowrunner list of supported devices when the update comes.

This guy is using a csl elite in his snowrunner gameplay. But how if it doesn't work yet.

It is my understanding some wheels can function with limited capabilities such as no ffb and some buttons not working. You can always try but they did post in their recent update that full wheel support is still being worked on. I unfortunately don't own the game and therefore unable to test it for you.
They are on PC, console doesnt have wheel support yet. Hopefully soon.
Fanatec does have to give them access though through the Fanatec SDK, something like that or do developers have access to that regardless?
