DD1 FFB loss mid-race - logging all potential remedies

Hi all,

I've been racing with my DD1 for the past couple of weeks and have noticed a few issues with mid-race loss of "connectivity". It's been ok for open lobby short races but essentially unreliable for endurance races.

I'll keep coming back to this thread and log my tests and changes. Seems like some variation of this issue is fairly common. I'd love to document it all and create a resource for users!


Setup:

-DD1 PS4 edition

-Formula V2 F1 2020 edition + APM

-Fanalab on

-Latest drivers (402)


Current issues:

-Loss of FFB/Torque mid race (usually somewhere around 30 minutes in)

-Buttons + vibration motors + LED all still works (basically, I can race as normal but with zero FFB)

-Sudden FFB/Torque spikes (like a super fast bump)


Past issues:

-Wheel pulls to left mid-race w/ complete button/LED loss


Common remedies applied:

-USB Power saving disabled

-Switched USB ports

-Using original USB cable without extension
