CSL DD mounting SimLab GT1-EVO

Hello,

I'm very happy to have received my CSL DD today but I have a mounting question.

The CSL DD has 3 grooves to slot in bolts but when I use all 3 grooves to bolt down to the mountingplate the steering wheel is in a position to short to my body.

Is it OK if I only use the 2 outer grooves to bolt down the CSL DD to the mounting plate of the SimLab GT1-Evo?

    Hi Steve,

    You should use at least three bolts. If you use two then it creates a pivot which can put excessive stress on the bolts or mounting points.

    If the wheel feels too close to you when using three bolts then you should be able to move the entire wheel base frame section of the GT1 Evo backwards.

    Hello Dominic,

    thanks for the information.

    Problem is with my setup I have limited room and can't move the frame section back but now that I know I need to use the 3 bolts I will look for a solution which works for me with 3 bolts. 😁
