why csl dd table clamp mounts the wheel base so far out the edge of desk?

I am having a hard time understanding this as it creates a ton of vertical flex even if the desk is concrete by having the unit mostly outside of the edge of the desk.

Table clamp has never been an ideal design for a wheel base. It is to accommodate us, who do not own a rig and still wish to participate in sim racing.
Agreed there is always a better design out there, but I prefer this resource to be directed towards solving problems with firmware and drivers or designing another wheel or pedal or QR2?
I only got the table clamp to see how long will I keep going at sim racing. If it is going to be long term, then I will get a rig. 😉
It does a good job on my heavy wooden table, but I dont like it either and its too high for my seating position. I had to change the height of my monitor. Maybe you can find somewhere a cheap 2nd hand CSW tableclamp.
Do you have a 3d printer? I designed a bracket to hold my dd1. I could modify the design to mount a CSL DD. This was my temporary solution until my rig arrived.
Profile (bought 200mm and cut it in half with hand saw.)

Brackets (I filed.down the little stubs on the Brackets so they could be set perpendicular to the slot in the profile.)

M6 or m8 bolts and nuts long enough to go through bracket and your table.
1000x better than the csldd table mount.
I ask you if aluminum is 150mm long is it the same or is it not stable? thank you
