CSL Elite V1.1 Not calibrating (stops in different positions)
Hello
I've emailed support but i know that can take some time before i get a response. I have a CSL Elite V1.1 wheel base that has stop calibrating. Below is a list of what i've tried and i'm out of ideas. The annoying part is that even if i wanted to replace it i can't because there is nothing in my price range available.
Basically upon powering on the wheel does its sweep. sometimes fully and stops. sometimes halfway and stops. The result is the 3 yellow LED's on (normally on during calibration) and the power button flashing.
Same fault occurs in the following situations
Attempt both my P1 wheel and my F1 CS 2.5 wheel
Removed top cover and blew out the optical sensor and the sensor wheel with a small compressed air can
removed the optical sensors and cleaned with 99% isopropyl alcohol
Performed firmware update using developer mode (only way to get it to connect to PC)
Backdated firmware (attempt failed) reupdate firmware (attempt failed)
I'm not sure what else to try besides waiting for Fanatec support. There is a good chance i won't have a wheel base for weeks if i have to send it in. Anyone have any ideas???
Thanks for your time!

By removing the optical sensor on your own you most likely already voided the warranty of the base.
You should never do such things without a clear instruction from the support when the product is still under warranty.
The warranty on the base is already expired. I'm not looking for something to get covered for free. I'm merely trying to find a solution to my issue and if it means sending it in for repair then so be it but considering i have no response i'm just trying to figure this out.
Thanks
