csl elite wheel base firmware not downloading
Ive tried everything I could find on the forms from previous people having this problem and nothing has worked.
program stops responding as soon as I go to update
tried;
different usb slot
using a newer/older driver
plugging my pedals and base in at different time
just got the base second hand today so hopping its not bricked.

According from the Logs the Wheel Base was NEVER updated from the previous owner before and is still running on its release Firmware 476 from Driver 311 released in May 2018.
That could be waaaaaaaaay to old for the current drivers to properly recognize the base.
You should start to update the Firmware slowly, maybe first give Driver 381 (https://forum.fanatec.com/discussion/21631/fanatec-driver-381-release-candidate-for-csl-csw-and-podium-bases-all-wheels/p1) or 402 (https://forum.fanatec.com/discussion/22210/fanatec-driver-402-before-399-incl-new-firmware-manager-for-csl-csw-and-podium-wb-all-wheels/p1) a try and only then try latest Driver 444.
Maybe the straight 4 year jump from Driver 311 to 439/444 (a jump of 133 versions) and from Firmware 476 to 691 (a jump of 215 versions) is just too much.
