CSL DD not recognizing the Mclaren GT3 wheel

I purchased a csl dd and Mclaren gt3 wheel. When I connect the wheel base to my computer everything works fine but once I attach the wheel to the base the Fanatec software says device not found. I have tried to redownload the software and tuning everything n and off multiple times. One time I connected the wheel and it actually showed up in the software but it recognized it as the csl P1 steering wheel and not the Mclaren. Also when that happened I could not adjust any of the setting for the wheel base. I believe the wheel is the problem but could it be the base?

    Also when the wheel is connected to the wheel base I cannot change the mode. The power button kind of pulses red.
