Button Mapping on Windows

I got my new Fanatec wheel and base, and I'm having trouble remapping the buttons on the CSL Wheel P1 V2 to match what's listed in Windows.

For example, on the wheel the buttons 1, 2, 3, and 4, correspond to buttons 8, 12, 10, and 9 in Windows and in games. It's confusing because the screen says press button 8, but it's really telling me to press button 1 on the wheel.

Also is there a way for me to swap buttons on this wheel? It might just be simpler to do that if I'm unable to remap them.

Thanks

  • Having the same issue... It's one thing to have the buttons numbered in windows - Probably the simplest way to do it as far as drivers - but not having the actual numbered buttons on the wheel correspond to what windows detects is ridiculous. Apparently this differs from wheel to wheel as well; i.e. the same button on the WRC wheel will have a different number from this one?

I feel like this should be trivial to fix with a driver update.
