CSL DD absolutely no power

So I was playing f1 23 on PC, when all of a sudden the wheel disconnects and the base powers off. I removed the wheel and all cables from the base, restarted the computer, waited for it to cool down (it was running slightly hot as it was a hot day), connected the cables again but noticed the power button had no lights on. I pressed the power button on the base and nothing happened. Held the button down for 5, 10, 15, 20 seconds and absolutely nothing, not even a judder from the shaft. Its almost as if it just straight up died.

The PSU still had a green light on and I've tested the cable that connect from the PSU to the base, it works fine.

I've only owned this base for a couple of days and used it less than that.

Anyone know why this could of happened? is it common or a rare defect?

    Made a RMA, got collected, got it back in 5 days, fully fixed. Assuming it was a small problem.
