Gt dd pro (5nm) wheel base overheating.

Bought the Gran Turismo DD Pro (5nm) a couple weeks ago and haven’t had any issues until now. I received the McLaren Gt3 v2 wheel yesterday and it was working fine for 30 minutes. The wheel turned off and the power button started flashing blue, I tried to connect the base to my PC to flash the firmware, but it turns off after 1 minute and the back of the base is hot to the touch. I’m going to assume that I need a new wheel base ?

    Apparently a number of people have had this issue, myself included although I was using the 8 nm boost. Mine made a pop and started smoking within the first 45 minutes of use. Did you RMA? What was the process like?
