DD2 Smoking after a wreck
Hello. So, as the title suggests, I hit the wall and wreck, and started smelling a burning smell - quickly noticed smoke billowing out of the rear of the DD2 unit. I unplugged from power and PC and haven't turned it back on yet.
I've reached out to Fanatec support, but no response yet. I purchased May of 2022, so I should be covered, right?
Also, has anyone ever had this? Is the unit done for or can I chance turning back on and trying it out? From my experience in electrical and pool pump motors, the answer to the latter is no, but figured I'd ask.

DD2 should have 5 year warranty at least that what they webpage its typed.
by looking the CSL DD how they made that, im not supriced anything about that smoke part
DD2 has a five year warranty. Of course you should not plug it back into the power again - it will need RMA'd.
yeah. what i personally not like that this could happen first place, i to still have "Microsoft SideWinder Force Feedback Wheel" what i buy 22 years ago and it still works, needed todo for that the button replacement as at that long period they may not work anymore

Hello again. So I was on my product page and it shows every product only having a 1 year warranty. Is this incorrect? I sure hope so. What do you think?
Fanatec have acknowledged that the five year warranty is not reflected in owners product pages and confirmed a number of years ago (2019 I think!!) that they were working to rectify the error. But being Fanatec, they haven't managed to do so quite yet...
