new purchase first time driver/firmware update?

in Wheel Bases (and Racing Wheels)

so very new to fanatec, i am curious if anyone can tell me when i do my first firmware update should I have have the wheel and pedal assembly connected to the base? or should i be doing each component individually. I am running these products directly through xbox. Like i say hate to sound ignorant but I guess thats the right word.

all my components are rated (xbox ready)

csl dd (8nm) base

clubsport universal hub v2 for xbox

clubsport pedals v3

thanks in advance for any advice.

    when i got mine i had the pedals connected but kept wheel off for doing the firmware/driver updates
