CS DD vibrating
Hey, I just received my ClubSport DD (sadly the QR2 Wheelside didn't arrive yet). When turned on the base starts vibrating a little bit. It's not that much, but enough to feel in through my rig and in the seat. It also makes a weird "whooshing" sound. I don't think it's the coil whine some people are describing.
Has anyone made the same experience or knows wether this is a bad thing or not? Sadly i can't try it on a sim, because I can't attatch the wheel without the QR2. Firmware updates worked as they should.

Oh and the shaft moves a little bit while it's doing that...
When I turn the shaft with my hand it stops in certain positions.
What Firmware do you have installed?
What is your NFR setting set to?
Firmware: 2.0.1.3
NFR is on 0
Ok then you should contact the support to get your base repaired / exchanged.
What is this. Only problems. I recievend mine in a few days but I hoop my base is good. All I read is problems.
You will always read about problems in Forums and Social Media as the people who have a flawless experience dont usually share this on such platforms, its only people with problems who report this, therefore it is absolutely normal to read more negative than positive things online.
Contacting Fanatec support is quite difficult atm xD Tomorrow I should receive the QR2 and only then I am able to try the wheel base properly. I don't think it's a good idea to contact support before that. Let's see, maybe it isn't even an issue.
So far I am the only one describing this "issue".
Well, when the whole shaft is vibrating.. then it definitely is an issue. This should not happen, under no circumstances (other than when using high NFR, that can lead to oscillations / vibrations).
Also it should not make any "whooshing" sound. It should be absolutely silent so you can not hear ANYTHING from it.
So I think RMA is the best option here so the base can get analyzed whats going on.
Oké thanks Maurice 😊
Bonjour Clemens ,
J'ai moi aussi ce bruit de sifflement qui ressemble à un courant d'air. Lorsque je ne joue pas et que mon ordinateur est éteint ,je débranche
la base CSDD .
Micrologiciel : 2.0.0.15
NFR : 3%

UPDATE:
The QR2 has finally arrived and the vibrating has stopped with the wheel attached. The sound is still there, but changed a little bit. Now it sounds more like the coill whining noise people are describing.
But apart from that everything works as it should.
Clemens—how loud is your coil whine? Mine is only noticeable if I put my head next to my base.
It varies... But I can hear it across the room and even with my headphones on when I am not driving.
Moin moin and hello,
I also have this vibration and noise in the CS DD. I just don't know if this is normal. Depending on the position of the steering wheel, you can hear and feel it (very light and quiet), turn it a little further and it's gone. The steering wheel is also centered, but after starting it sets to just before 12 o'clock. But it has no effect in the game because it is centered.
I sent support videos about this. But everything else works perfectly. Every change in the menu has an effect. I can drive it, it works well.
I will report again if necessary.
Update:
Created a support ticket last wednesday (13.12.) and the support answered two days later on friday with RMA information. Sent it to Fanatec on the same day and received it today (exactly one week later). The wheelbase works absolutely perfect now without any noises or unwanted vibrations.
My coil-whine was very loud and the vibration kind of distracing. I can only recommend sending it back to Fanatec for repairs. It was fast and so very worth it. The base feels incredibly good now!
I'm living in Germany btw. So shipping might obviously take longer outside of Germany/EU.
Hey Florian,
as I already said in my previous comment: I highly recommend sending it back for repairs. The coil-whine and vibrations are not normal. My base is 100 % quiet now without vibrations.
The issue you discribed was the same thing I experienced when it first arrived. Though it seems mine was even worse than yours.
