Can you use Fanalab or some other method to remap the advanced paddles on Xbox or is it still locked to x and y? I couldn't find any recent answers to this.

Fanalab is PC exclusive.
Remappings are done exclusively in the game.
When the game does not have such a function for the APM then you cant change the bindings, no.
You can definitely change settings in Fanalab that carry over to console, I just don't know about this. Also, if the paddle is mapped permanently to X and you have an X button, how exactly can you remap that in an Xbox game? As of a while ago, they were linked and that sounds like something firmware could fix.
No, you cant. What you can adjust is just the Tuning Menu but that is also available from every steering wheel directly...
when does the new xbox sdk come out so this can stop being an issue year after year, saw a few months back it was “coming soon” havent seen anything about it since.
That new Turtle Beach wheel shows telemetry data coming from Xbox so it has to be sometime soonish.
