Process for cancelling order

Can anyone advise the process for cancelling an order?

I placed an order several weeks ago, and have been patiently waiting. After searching through forums I have worked out that it is a stock issue with the QR1 that is holding up my order. At time of purchase it said in stock, but is now saying due in May. I decided to cancel my order and reorder with a qr2 instead. I pressed the cancel order button on the order summary page, and entered the reason for the cancellation when prompted. A 'comment' has been added to the bottom of my order with the reason for cancellation, but no email or information about the cancellation. Would appreciate if anyone has info on the process for cancellations, timeframes, refund etc.
