22 year old clubsport pedals

I have recently dug out my old GT3 RS v2 with the clubsport pedals. They’ve not been used for well over 15 years!

I bought a PS3 and GT5 (wasn’t sure if these would be compatible with the later platforms).

Got the wheel connected and seemingly functioning as normal. I don’t appear to have anything at all from the pedal set. The PS3 seems to recognise it as when I turn on the normal controller it comes on at controller #3.

Can anyone help? Am I missing a simple step somewhere?

  • Pedals directly connected to the wheel? If I remember correctly it used to be the same Green connector as an old mouse or Keyboard on a PC.

Are your Pedals working on PC? I sold mine a couple months ago and tested them before selling

  • Yeah there’s a cable connected directly to the wheel and then another usb cable which connects to the PS3.

    I don’t have a PC.

I have a MacBook. Not sure if that’s any use for testing..?

You don’t need any additional USB connection from the pedals to the PS3.

    • Pedals plugged in GT3 RS
    • GT3 RS plugged in PS3

If you use an additional connection PS3 gets confused. It‘s the same with modern PlayStations btw.

Unfortunately a MacBook is not suitable to test it.

  • Ah really? Maybe that’s the problem.

I was pretty sure I previously had both USBs connected but I could easily be mistaken.

Will give it a try later without pedal to PS3 USB….

  • That’s sorted it thank you!

  • Glad I could help you
