clubsport dd stuck in update mode

so the wheel was working fine last night and tried to turn it on today and it didn't start up with the usual spin of the wheel. i went into the software and it said it was in update mode so let the software update, once this had finished still nothing was showing and if i restarted the software or turned the base off/on then i would get same message that its in update mode. i have tried reinstalling drivers and tried older ones, changed cables and usb ports with no success. has anyone had the same issue and know of a fix?
