Sadly I was foolish enough to spend several thousand with Fanatec in the past. With hindsight that was a poor move, but it means I still have an interest in this dying company, for the moment at least.
Think you are confusing me with someone else. There have been hundreds of posts ranting about the company recently from the user base so it's an easy mistake to make.
The one on the right looks like the QR2 shown on the Expo 2021 and the one on the left looks exactly like the one shown on the Expo 2022, so yes, there seems to have been some design change already during that one year between the two Expos which might have lead to the looooooooooooooooooong development time. Lets see early next week how the final version will look like :)
Every wheel with an exchangeable QR can be upgraded to the new QR2 Wheel-Side Adapter and every Fanatec DD Base can be upgraded to the QR2 Base-Side shaft.
"Legacy" wheels without an exchangeable QR can not be upgraded to the QR2 system.
There should be some kind of quantity discount offered for us who would need to convert numerous wheels to QR2, like I had something like ~10 or so wheel/hubs, so full price x10 is way too high for this. But if there would be like 30-50% or so discount, that would lessen the shock(in buyers bank account...).
For me it's completely out of reach, I would have to sell my current ''legacy'' wheels and hubs and buy new ones to just have the option for the QR2... and then 3 times QR2 + one Base side QR2 ... that's so much money for a smoother steering wheel change, I can't rectify that for my self, even as an Sim racing enthusiast xD I stay with the QR1, I don't change the steeringwheel that often.

What are you still doing here then?
I am here to help people and not to rant against a company which is all you do here in this forum.

Keep up the work. :-)
There were made a few changes if the cave paintings are accurate :D
But I'm probably gonna have to wait for 3rd party adapter for the older Fanatec steering wheels / universal hub.

The cave drawing appears to be accurate.
Ahh there are actually a lot of videos from the expo 2022, totally missed that! xD
Do you know if Fanatec gonna provide any adapter support for older steering wheels?
It looks really nice, how fast and smooth he can pull the steering wheel off and put it back on. Night and day compared to the hassle with the QR1.
But it's gonna be hard for me to sell my 3 older Fanatec steeringwheels and buy 3 new ones just to have the option for the QR 2...

No.
Ah damn... but thanks for the information...

If I can make a suggestion for Fanatec, make an cheaper option for the podium hub and universal hub without the QR1.
So people can combine it with one of the QR2 options, without having to throw the QR1 away.
