Clubsport DD emitting coil-whine like sound

Just received my CS DD today, noticed that it emits some coil-whine like sound while it's on. It goes away when I turn it off. Anyone else have this? Does not bother me at all, just want to know if it's normal. Tried to get it on video but its inaudible through video.

This is not normal, it should be dead silent.
Contact the support and your base will get either repaired or exchanged.
Same for you, when the Base makes noises then this is absolutely not normal and you should contact the support, especially when also the WQR appears to be broken.

How can i see, that my Ticket is sent? I had clicked on "Submit" and then the Ticket was empty?! Is it then sent or not?
having the same issue here.
This is why I don't like first batch of ANYTHING. Really hope these are isolated cases because I can't even cancel my order now and wait a few months. Would be nice if these guys could have a new circuit board sent to them so they don't have the hassle of a return.
It wont be possible for the customer to fix the coil whine issue at home.
Affected units have to be returned to the support.
im not sure if its even letting me send a support ticket. ive tried twice with no confirmation email.
Sadly I also have that issue but I managed to put my ticket in place (I have received email confirmation). Hope it will be addressed similar like CSL DD issues (it also had coil whining noise at the begging). They were just sending new base without that issue. Nevertheless base performance itself is just awesome :)
ive been able to submit a ticket. will you keep using the base with the coil-whine while waiting?
I think that for the safety I will try not to use it until I get Fanatec response. I know that for CSL DD they allow people to use old base until new came in so maybe this will be also the case.
It is safe to use - it is just annoying.

yeah, this china techno sound is probaply boring and only way turn this off is send it back so they can manually turn that off
I have exactly the same issues.
Finally managed to update after removing the wheel. Powering on without the wheel. Update QR. Power off. Attach wheel, Update wheel.
But I also have the coil whine and the wheel seems to be lagging as wel.
You should contact the support as well. Coil Whine is not normal and should not happen.
I think I'll just return it for a refund. Even without the coil whine this is not an upgrade from the CSL DD. Very noticeable cogging (the wheel snapping into place due to the magnets, noticeable while driving as well). Undriveable for me.
Same Problem here with my CS DD.
After switching to "Manual Firmware Update" and forcing a Manual Update of the WQR it works and now i got FW 1.0.0.3 running.
i knew magnet issue even without self own this, there was a one video at expo where guy try that feeling and it was even possible see with eye
but i guess that what you get in this level price, it little also depends game aswell because some games it not pop up that hardly as its hidden in different types vibration

unlikely as support reply times are still around 2 weeks afaik.
If a base has coild whine, then the base needs to be repaired or exchanged, thats a fact.
Or you decide you can live with it, then of course you can skip the RMA and continue using it.
became an Mail today from the Support, but there was actually no solution. And no i dont use an 700€ (!) Base which is making a really loud coil-whine Sound that u can hear in the whole Gamingroom, because my rig amplifies that sound. Its not personally to you, but to say "using it, when u can live with it" is completly unprofessionell. I hope ur not working for Fanatec. I work in a car repairshop. I also cant say to the customer with a New car, "yeah the car Make a crazy noise and need an repair, but when u can live with it, go on and drive". I paid 700€ (!) for me and other people this is very much money. We have to work hard for this money and so i can expect an 100% working product. That i had wait over 1 Month for the product is ok, that it had an 2 Week delay i can live with. But at some point i get a little pissed off. I have much understanding for the workers and all, but an Support must be work quicker. When we talk about this value of goods.
Well you completely misunderstood my answer as it was not meant to sound aggressive, I have read from several affected customers now that they can live with it and dont want to deal with the hassle of a RMA.
I told them I would never ever accept such an issue.
But because some people can accept it, that's why I wrote "if you can live with it", as some can (I couldnt) as the base itself woild still be safe to use.

But i hope u also can understand me. U are happy about ur new Base, rebuild ur simrig and at the moment u should happy with ur new Base, u had waiting a long time it sounds like an Ufo or something.
And because this is not the only Base with that problem, i tought the RMA works faster. And not at first "send us an Video". And now im waiting again 2 or more days for an answer, because the Supportform didnt send my Video, what i had attached.
I'ts a little bit frustrating...
I have send my ticket and support response very fast. They already told me that that they need to check it in service and started RMA process.
